Circus Baby is the latest addition to the carnival clan, I have no idea who he belongs to although he appears to be part duck. Circus Baby was created with an old doll head, toy vintage metal top body and vintage wood soda bottle legs and duckfeet. If you pull up the top handle his head slowly spins all the way down. He's looking to leave the circus and come live at your house. Circus Baby measures 16 1/2" tall and 8 1/4" wide, he's named, signed, dated and number 94 in the series of 1000 Pieces.

Kind words about my work..
Cat Bishop elevates recycling to an art form. Vintage objects collected from flea markets and thrift stores—old toys, dishes, cameras, car parts, game pieces—get assembled and reenvisioned as oddly human and animal sculptures. Singles, couples, and whole families emerge from her ability to imagine anything as a body part—domino feet, cue ball heads, xylophone torsos, teapot bellies. The beings that populate her world of art are both strange and proud—"feel good" creations that evoke sympathy and humor at the same time. Great gifts.
Cat Bishop has sold over 150 sculptures to date on Etsy.com, many of the buyers being repeat customers, evidence of buyer satisfaction. Her work resides in private collections worldwide, including Malaysia, Australia, Switzerland and the UK.
If you would like to be notified when I list new sculptures send me a convo and I will happily add you to the list.
The Lounge Singer is a sassy diva created with a kids toy xylophone, toy wooden bowling pins, old shoe stretchers and an old cue ball. She's a wall piece only and not freestanding. She measures 20" tall and is named, signed, number 90 in the series of 1000 Pieces and has thighs up to here...

Juggler Jane is a special piece to me because her torso is a vintage wood rattle that my son played with when he was a baby. I hesitated to part with it but he's 13 now and I just can't get him to play with it anymore try as I might. So.. Jane's a juggler and one of the crazy circus folks I've been making. She's sexy and all thighs sporting her bowling pin legs and sassy shoulders. Her head can be positioned anyway you like and she has a wood hula hoop that is loose around her neck. At almost 18" tall, Jane is a juggling force to be reckoned with. She's named, signed, dated and number 87 in the series of 1000 Pieces. Oh and she can be hung on a wall too.
Slim the Cowboy is another colorful carney and quite the sexy, suave cowboy. His body is a vintage xylophone and he's got vintage bowling pin legs and old ceramic boots. His head is an old red croquet ball and can be posed. He's tall and extremely thin. Slim measures 30 1/2" tall and 14" wide at the shoulders. He's named, signed, dated and number 88 in the series of 1000 Pieces. Thanks.

I walked in my bedroom today and realized it looks as tho I have run away and joined the circus. This is not even all the sculptures in photos. Between too many 13 yr old boys shooting nerf guns and other warfare and a bad kitten i've been forced to keep almost all my sculptures in my room for safety and it looks like some strange obsessive decorating scheme...
I would happily ship some off to other crazy people's homes...
Spanish Dancer is a salsa dancing senorita created with an artisan made iron and rich red leather lampshade, old tarnished teapot and a vintage mexicana metal toy tambourine. Her tambourine head can pivot from side to side and she could easily become a lamp with a small light source placed under her skirt. This chica is huge at just over 23" tall and 12" wide, she's named, signed numbered, dated and number 85 in the series of 1000 Pieces.

Abacus Lamb is a wall piece created with an old primitive handmade abacus with great colored wood beads, antique car clock head that swivels, old wood toy bowling pin legs, a vintage yarn spool and old yardstick. He measures 21" long by 24" tall and 3 1/2" wide. #83 in the series of 1000 Pieces.
