Apparently none of my collections are safe anymore, I've been saving bakelite buttons in a big old jar forever and now I'm stacking them too. There's something fulfilling about making stuff from junk I already have and shipping it off, little by little I'm riding myself of "collections" and just keeping my very favorite things. These old button pendants are available in my etsy shop for $12. Hope everyone has a good weekend....

Thanks Helen, I love bakelite too. So much so I started a Flickr group called BAKELITE. Some amazing stuff is posted in it..
these are wonderful....and you sound like me with the "nothing is safe", I have all these old magazines vintage from the 40's, they are not "worth anything" but they were something I was collecting, but now I rip them up and use them....
